IT WAS interesting to hear someone from the Association of Train Operating Companies on Radio Four this week saying how the January fare increases were justified as stations and services are getting better and faster and new trains are being brought in to operation.

COUNCILLOR Bert Grange is fully justified in his chastisement of the planning authority at Macclesfield in failing to foresee and prevent the sticky end of King George's inn sign. Knutsford Town Council will also have had the opportunity to comment on the relevant planning application.

HAVING two small children, two dogs and living in Mereheath Lane, I would be really grateful if the speed limit of 30mph could be enforced as a lot of cars drive at 60mph past my house.
