MOTORISTS are warned to expect "severe" delays on the M56.
A crash on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway this morning (April 9) has caused queuing traffic.
This happened between J7 A556 Chester Road and J6 A538 Wilmslow Road.
Lanes had to be closed as a result of the collision, however, it is understood they are all now back open.
Nevertheless, there remains "severe" delays according to the AA of around 15 minutes.
Elsewhere on the roads there has been a "serious" crash on the M6.
