FOUR fire engines attended an HGV fire at junction 18 of the M6 northbound just before 1pm today.
On arrival crews discovered a tractor unit well alight.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the flames. Three dry powder extinguishers were also used.
A closure was put in place, and the battery of the tractor unit was isolated while crews used a hose reel jet to cool down the HGV.
