A KNUTSFORD Academy student has read more than 2,500 books in three years, gaining three dedications from popular children’s authors to celebrate her success.
Faith Jackson, from Ashley, who turned 12-years-old last month has devoured 2,539 since July 1 2013, when the family decided to start noting down each book that she read.
On top of her impressive accolade, Faith has received dedicated books from Holly Webb, Lucy Coats and Karen McCombie.
Faith will also appear in Ripley’s ‘Odd around the World’, which is to be released in September.
"I'm really lucky that because of reading as much as I do, I've met loads of brilliant authors, been on television and now I'm being included in a book.
“It’s quite cool as I never expected to be in a book, even though I had read so many.”
Laura Jackson, Faith’s mum, contacted Ripley’s to tell them about her daughter’s extraordinary feat but told the Guardian she did not expect to hear anything from them as they are based in the USA.
“They got in touch very quickly saying that she would be perfect for their new book,” said Laura.
At the beginning of her journey, Faith began documenting her progress via her Twitter account, attracting the attention of children’s authors across the country and amassing more than 3,100 followers to date.
She recently attended CBBC’s Book Club, where she met actress Isla Fisher, who was promoting her children’s novel ‘Marge in Charge’, as well as TV presenter Katie Thistleton.
However, despite her success, Faith says that she has slowed down this year- but still enjoys reading just as much.
Faith added: "I think I will keep reading lots of books but I've definitely slowed down this year, I've only read 211 books so far in 2016, maybe because of starting Secondary School but, I still enjoy reading just as much and there are so many books I still want to read.
“I've definitely not read all the children's books because people don't realise how many amazing books there are. I probably haven't even read half of the children books I want to."
