GOOSTREY Village Hall was transformed into a fish and chip shop for the latest rural touring arts production on Friday, March 11.
More than 100 revellers enjoyed a fish supper before watching Chip Shop Chips a romantic comedy from the Box of Tricks theatre company.
The action was set at the official opening of the newly refurbished Booths and Sons chippie where romance was rekindled and blossomed over the salt and vinegar.
A mix of quiz questions, soul music and fish puns kept the audience amused as the love story of an older couple reminiscing about a night on Morecambe Pier and two youngsters discovering their feelings for each other, played out.
Organiser Janet Ollier said: "The joy of the Rural Touring Arts productions that come to Goostrey is that each one is unique and we are never quite sure what will happen.
"The fish supper was a logistical challenge but I am pleased to say we managed to feed everyone as they were being entertained. I would like to say a big thank you to the Crown in Goostrey for all their wonderful support.
"It was a great evening and everyone certainly appeared to leave with a smile on their face."
