KNUTSFORD-based business Concert Networks has struck a sponsorship deal to provide new kit for the town’s football club.
The business, which specialises in providing telecoms and internet, will sponsor Knutsford FC’s A team for the next two seasons.
The squad wore the new kit – bearing Concert’s logo and ‘wireman’ motif – for the first time for its 5-1 drubbing of Sale Amateurs at home on Saturday, October 12.
Neil Hollands, Concert managing director, said: “It is a privilege to support the club in this way. They have a hugely rich heritage stretching back 125 years.
“To support them in this anniversary year makes it even more meaningful, especially as we are celebrating our 10th birthday.”
Knutsford Football Club, based on Manchester Road, has two teams.
The first team plays in the Cheshire League and the A team plays in the Altrincham and District League.
Club chairman Jimmy Evans said: “Without the support of local sponsors Knutsford FC would struggle to survive and be unable to provide a positive football experience for local youths – it means everything to the club.”
