IT’S difficult to see how HS2 will benefit Cheshire if there is no provision for a stop.
Going into Manchester to connect with it makes it actually slower than catching the Wilmslow train to London. We could use that investment on some local lines, such as bringing the Manchester metro to Knutsford.
Evidence from Europe shows it is the capital city that benefits more than the regions from High Speed Rail anyway.
