HEYROSE Golf Club members have won the Doris Chambers Cup.
Lara Richbell and Ashley Harris came out on top in the foursomes knockout which is run by Cheshire County Ladies Golf Association.
The final was played at Delamere Golf Club in challenging conditions.
Richbell, a 9.6 handicapper, and Harris, a 15.3 handicapper, defeated a Sale Golf Club pairing in the final.
Meanwhile, Heyrose’s annual Ladies’ Invite to Seniors competition was well supported by a large turnout of members.
Some great scores were carded on the day and the winners are pictured being presented with their prizes by lady captain Pam Sehmi.
A new member of the club celebrated quite an achievement last month.
At the 2024 Paris Paralympics, Chris Latham represented Great Britain competing as the sighted pilot for Stephen Bate in cycling’s men’s pursuit B.
Bate and Latham won the silver medal and on his return from the French capital the latter joined Heyrose Golf Club.
The photo shows Latham being welcomed to the club by captain Tom Hughes.
