GYMNASTS will not forget the highlight of their summer successes.
Holmes Chapel 10-year-old Rosamai Halluni was a member of the City of Manchester Rhythmic Academy’s 10-12 age group team, Nebula, which won a bronze medal for their five-hoop routine at the British Championships.
It was the team’s first time competing at the championships with their medal being one of three won by the club, for whom Holmes Chapel’s Claire Morgan is the head coach and founder.
Rosamai is so dedicated that she, like a number of others, undertakes nearly two-hour round trips for every training session with the club.
CMRA’s Nebula group were selected for the England performance pathway programme earlier in the year and were successful in becoming all-round vice champions at the English Championships in May.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have achieved three bronze medals at this year’s championships,” said Claire.
“This was the first time many of our gymnasts have competed at this national level and really demonstrates the calibre of gymnasts that we are producing.“The hard work and dedication demonstrated by all our gymnasts and their families is outstanding and we are incredibly excited to see what the future holds for these teams.”
