A GYMNAST and coach from this area will be competing in the British Championships.
Rosamai Halluni, who lives in Holmes Chapel, will be a member of the City of Manchester Rhythmic Academy Nebula squad competing in the espoir age range of the Rhythmic Gymnastics British Championships taking place at Telford International Centre from July 19 to 21.
Head coach and CMRA founder, Claire Morgan, who is also from Holmes Chapel, is delighted that her club’s senior group has also qualified.
She set up the academy in 2008 and has worked with more than 2,000 gymnasts since its inception.
Claire said: “We are very proud of our gymnasts attaining the qualification scores to represent CMRA at the 2024 British Championships in Telford.
“The hard work and dedication by all the gymnasts and families is admirable.”
The British Championships is attended by elite-level rhythmic gymnasts who qualify through rigorous selection events.
Joining Rosamai in the Nebula squad from the Urmston-based club will be Alice McLure, Arina Tsurkan, Eden Bland, Isobel Kerr and Sofia Kanakides, who are all aged 10 to 12.
Alannah Slater, Caitlin Slater, Daisy Beesley, Katerina Kastavunis, Kelis Kelly, Yasmin Mhar, all aged 16 to 21 years, form CMRA’s senior group.
