ERIN Parker is the pride of the county.
The young golf star made her mark in the 2024 Cheshire Women’s County Championship at Upton-by-Chester Golf Club.
Played over three days, the first outing was 36 holes stroke-play to decide the order of the last eight in the match-play over the final two days.
Styal Golf Club ace Parker led the way in the gross competition with 149, one ahead of reigning champion Emily McBurney (Royal Liverpool), who started her round with a stunning ace on the first hole, and Caroline Berry (Bromborough) with 155.
The nett leader was Karoline Revay-Zarac, 138, from Parker, 139, and Emily McBurney, 140.
Going through to the semi-finals were Parker, Wad Grayson, Eyrn Gravett (Astbury), Olivia Hunt (Royal Liverpool) and Amy Anson (Prestbury).
Next day in the morning semi-finals Parker beat Eryn Gravett 4/3 to set up the final against Anson, who won a thriller on the 20th against Olivia Hunt.
In the final, Parker proved to be too hot to handle in a 4/3 to see her lift the Champions Trophy along with three others from various categories in the championship.
