RICHARD Coen made his mark at the Cheshire Cross Country Championships held at Reaseheath College in Nantwich.
He placed 11th overall in the senior men’s race but took the prize as first home in the men’s over 45s category.
Coen, in his first year as an over 45 and the third-place finisher in the over 40s race last year, was the first of eight Wilmslow Running Club members to finish in the top 50 of the senior men’s race.
Behind him was Peter Speake, 14th overall and third MV45; Matthew Braybrooke, 33rd; Jonathan Cheshire, 38th and fifth MV40; Nicholas Reynolds, 41st; Graham Screawn, 42nd and second MV55; James Speedie, 43rd and sixth MV40.
Three WRC runners finished in the top 50 of the senior women’s race.
They were Rebecca Jackson, 12th and third senior woman; Olivia Partington, 16th and fifth senior woman and Susan Harrison, 37th and seventh FV50.
