WITH the country gradually opening up, it allows for many events to return and even some new ones too.
And with that comes the new Cheshire Agricultural Trade Fair event, set to go ahead on Wednesday, July 28, 9.30am until 4.30pm, three days ahead of the Royal Cheshire County Show on Saturday, July 31.
The event will bring together the agricultural and rural community, as well as providing an additional opportunity for traders to showcase their products and services to the farming community which is free to attend.
The launch of the Cheshire Agricultural Trade Fair was originally due to take place in the Autumn of 2020 before being postponed.
Both shows will be held on the Cheshire County Show Ground in Knutsford, where show director Rob Davenport calls for the industry to reunite.
“There’s no question that we have some of the best shows in the world and a great calendar of county shows including our Royal Cheshire County Show – all of which attract thousands of visitors a year!
"The Cheshire Agricultural Trade Fair is different,” he said.
“It is taking the outdoor show feel that we as farmers love and focuses purely on the agricultural trade.
“As farmers, we have continued to work all hours throughout the pandemic in what is already a very isolated industry.
"Livestock markets and shows are some of the only times that we get out to socialise alongside doing business.
"Without these many of us have struggled to get out at all."
He continued: “These events are for suppliers to be able to meet clients for the first time in a long time, and for everyone to catch up with friends.
"We need to come together as an industry and as a community.”
To attend you do need to register for free tickets, but you can do so or book a stand here.
