A 'FRESHERS' fair shining a light on Knutsford's community and interest groups will be among the highlights of the town's returning wellbeing week.

The annual Health & Wellness Week, organised by Knutsford Town Council, has been expanded for 2025 and will return for the second time in January.

From January 18 to 25, residents will be able to enjoy a range of wellness activities in the town, from fitness classes and yoga sessions, to talks on mental health and nutrition.

And, new for next year, will be the Refresh fair, held at St John's and Knutsford Methodist churches, where residents can browse among the various local community and interest groups and possibly take part in some interactive sessions.

Sandra Curties, the town centre manager at Knutsford Town Council, said: "We are delighted once again to facilitate this week-long event to shine a light on the health and wellbeing services available in Knutsford.

"We are particularly pleased to see panel discussions introduced for 2025 enabling residents to have direct access to experts covering menopause and general wellbeing tips."

Throughout the week there will be opportunities to book onto sessions such as running sessions, yoga, Pilates, podiatry, life coaching, hearing and eye checks, art-based therapy, and counselling to allow Knutsford residents to try out new services related to their wellbeing.

Among the groups at Refresh, which will take place at the churches between 1pm and 3pm on January 18, are Knutsford Tri Club and the Knutsford and Hartford French Circle.

Many of the taster sessions will be complimentary or discounted.

The event is sponsored by cardiovascular specialist, Tomorrow’s Wellness which opened in June on Regent Street.

David Willis, Tomorrow’s Wellness CEO, said: “We are delighted to sponsor Knutsford's second Health & Wellness week.

"It was the natural fit for us and the programme for the week covers a wide range of activities, classes, and talks.

"We will be offering a chance to win a full Ultimate Health check worth £1,199. Visit our world class ‘Wellness Studio’ on Regent Street to enter. The week is the perfect way to kick start 2025."

Sandra added: "As many of the taster sessions are complimentary or discounted, this collaboration will allow residents the opportunity to easily try new techniques or support services to improve their wellbeing.

"We are extremely grateful for Tomorrow’s Wellness sponsorship and once again Bella Marketing design services.

"Booking is essential for some events; this can be done directly with the host. A full programme, including all booking details, will be available to pick up from town centre businesses from early January with all events to be found on the Discover Knutsford website."

Richard Clare, director of optometrists Clare & Illingworth, said: "As specialists in dry eye disease, we’re thrilled to be part of Knutsford’s Health & Wellness Week.

"It’s a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness about a condition that impacts so many lives and to share the tailored treatment options available to address it.

"We’re passionate about helping people achieve better eye health and look forward to supporting our community during this event."

Also new for 2025 is Men’s Shed which will be based on Malt Street. Men’s Shed aims to offer men connection and conversation in the most informal of settings. Men will be able to pop in at 7pm on Wednesday, January 22.
