A MAN found to have collected indecent images of children has been ordered to complete unpaid work.
Thomas Green appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court on November 19 for sentencing on two indecent images charges.
The 48-year-old, of Granville Road, Wilmslow, had previously pleaded guilty on October 17 to making and possessing 11 category C indecent images of children.
Green's offending took place between November 20, 2020, and November 22, 2023.
Taking his admission into account, magistrates handed Green a 12-month community order.
As part of the order, he must complete 100 hours of unpaid work and up to 35 days of rehabilitation activity.
Green was also placed on the sex offenders register for five years and he must report annually to Wilmslow police station.
The bench also made him the subject of a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
This order bans him from using a device capable of accessing the internet unless he notifies police within three days of acquiring such a device.
The device must have the capacity to retain the history of internet use and Green must not delete such history.
