KNIVES have been taken off the street.
Police brought a knife amnesty bin to their surgery at Plumleys Garden Centre over the weekend.
In total, 13 knives were handed in, helping to keep the area safe.
A spokesperson for Knutsford Police said: “We'd like to take this opportunity to thank the members of public that came to the police surgery at Plumleys Garden Centre on Saturday morning and handed in knives.
“We collected 13 knives in total which will be safely disposed of by trained officers.
“Over the last few months, many knives have been deposited in the amnesty bin which is a fantastic result.
“This means one less on our streets, and more importantly, one less that can't be used as part of a crime.”
Knutsford Police have six more surgeries planned between now and the end of the year.
The knife amnesty bin will be brought along to all of these sessions, giving members of the public the chance to dispose of any blades with the support of officers.
