A VICTIM was left ‘shaken’ after thieves broke into their home and stole jewellery.
Cheshire Police are investigating after receiving reports of a burglary in Alderley Edge at around 7.20pm on Friday, November 15.
The caller said that an unknown member of individuals had ‘forcibly’ gained access to the property on Marlborough Avenue, using a neighbour's ladder to reach an exterior window before smashing it and climbing inside.
Once inside, the burglars carried out an untidy search of the property and stole a number of jewellery items before fleeing the scene.
As part of enquiries into the incident, officers are appealing for anyone with any information, has any CCTV footage, or saw anything that did not look right to contact them.
Detective Constable Harry Bayley, of CID Proactive East, said: "To have one's home broken into and have their personal property stolen is very distressing and the victim has been left considerably shaken by this ordeal.
"We are asking anyone who was in the Marlborough Avenue area of Alderley Edge around the time of the incident and saw anything suspicious to get in contact.
"The same goes for anyone who has any useful information, CCTV or dashcam footage."
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Cheshire Police via cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, or call 101, quoting IML-1963706.
