A BARBER has come up with a novel way to cut queues and save people time.
Jignesh Madhavji, known as Jiggi, has launched a mobile barber shop.
The 39-year-old has converted a van into a fully-equipped salon, complete with a barber’s chair, TV, sink and heating.

His innovative concept has already won him recognition after being named as a finalist for the small business awards.
He has been listed in the Small Biz 100, an initiative celebrated on Small Business Saturday, November 30, that encourages people to support small businesses.
“You’ve got to be different,” said Jiggi, who has two decades of experience working as a barber.
“I bring the barber shop to you. It saves people time and offers a personal touch.
“You never have to fight traffic, wait in long lines or panic about time issues, finding a barber at the last minute.
“Some people don’t like it when shops are too busy.”
Jiggi travels to gyms, health clubs, workplaces, markets and people’s homes.
Personal appointments are made in advance.
“Every day is different, that’s what I enjoy,” he said.
“It’s brilliant.
“I like the more creative side, meeting and connecting with people.
“I still have many clients who I have been cutting their hair for the past 15-20 years.”
Building a rapport with customers, he believes, is very important.
“People want to have a chat,” said Jiggi.
“You have to be able to trust a barber if you want to talk.
“It is all confidential.”
Jiggy provides haircuts, beard trims and wet shaves.
He parks at Knutsford Makers Market and Wilmslow Makers Market.
He offers group bookings for weddings and is willing to attend charity events.
