THE countdown is on for the Christmas lights switch on in Wilmslow.
Ultra marathon runner Amy Hughes, founder of Sculpt at Haus Pilates Studio, will be pressing the button.
The Wilmslow business owner was the first woman to run 53 marathons in 53 days in 2014.

This inspirational mum is no stranger to setting goals and showing phenomenal determination.
This year, to celebrate her incredible feat, Amy, 36, took on the daunting challenge all over again.
She raised money for mental health charity Bigmoose, completing 1,745 miles in less than two months.
Amy will be switching the lights on Saturday, November 16.
The festive celebrations start with an artisan market on Alderley Road which opens from 10am to 5pm.
Throughout the day, a selection of businesses will be running pop-up stalls outside their premises, serving refreshments.
Wilmslow Town Council has bought two new 3D light displays, a giant stand-in bauble for Bank Square and a walk-through Christmas arch for Alderley Road.
Town mayor Cllr Tim Higgins said: “We can’t wait for Wilmslow’s 2024 Christmas lights switch-on.
“It is one of Wilmslow Town Council’s biggest and most popular community event.
“This year, we have put lots of work into improving the stage and sound equipment to make the big day bigger and better.
“With the day featuring markets, stage entertainment at Bank Square, refreshments from local businesses plus Santa and his reindeer parade, we hope there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
“We are proud to fund and organise the day, with the help of our regular compere, Erik Garner, the Wilmslow’s Way Better team and local schools and groups.
“We are delighted that Amy has agreed to switch the lights on for us this year.
“We hope the Wilmslow community enjoy this festive day.”
Children can visit Santa’s reindeer at Wilmslow High School on Holly Road from 3pm to 4pm.
Santa will get into his sleigh at 4pm and ride to Wilmslow Leisure Centre.
Families are encouraged to line the pavements of Broadway to watch the festive parade.
The lights switch-on takes place on stage near Bank Square, following an afternoon of live entertainment.
Amy Hughes will press the magic button at around 5pm.
