A DRIVER clocked speeding has been hit with a £100 court penalty.
Carol Green, of Ashley Road, Wilmslow, admitted exceeding a 30mph speed limit at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on October 31.
The 72-year-old was caught on an automatic camera speeding in Macclesfield at 6.53pm on May 5, this year.
The defendant was clocked speeding at 35mph whilst driving a Suzuki on the A538 in Macclesfield, the court was told.
Green, who was not in court for the hearing, was fined £72 and ordered to pay £28 victim surcharge.
No order was made for costs.
Her driving licence was endorsed with three points.
Magistrates took her guilty plea into account when imposing the sentence.
Green was given until November 28 to pay the £100 court penalty.
