A NEW care home in Wilmslow has appointed two senior members of staff.
Emma Tillyer will lead the team at Care UK’s Long Stone Manor on Manchester Road, when it opens in February 2025.
Andrea Dunlop will liaise with families as customer relations manager.
The home will have a café, cinema and hair salon, providing care for up to 60 residents.

Emma is a qualified registered nurse, and previously worked at Clatterbridge Oncology Centre before joining Care UK in 2008 as a nurse.
Emma continued to progress within her role to clinical lead and then night nurse manager, and in August 2019, became home manager.
Emma led the home throughout the pandemic, before managing a new Care UK home, Oxbow Manor, in Shrewsbury.
Emma said: “Being a home manager is a balancing act.
“You need to have a keen eye for the practical and financial side of the job, while also being focused on creating a positive culture at the home and delivering outstanding care for each and every resident.
“Being able to assemble a strong team of carers, chefs and lifestyle coordinators from the ground-up, while overseeing the opening of a new care home, is an unbelievably exciting opportunity.
“I’m keen to roll up my sleeves and support the new team as we get started.
“I look forward to building a place residents and team members alike are proud to call a home, right here in Wilmslow.
Newly appointed customer relations manager Andrea Dunlop will be the first point of contact for all potential residents and their relatives.
She will ensure a smooth process, from showing a family around the home to supporting their loved one moving in.
Andrea began her career in the pharmaceutical industry before joining Care UK in 2023 as customer relations manager at Sale’s Oakfield Croft care home.
Passionate about building relationships, Andrea says speaking to residents and their families is the favourite aspect of her job.
Andrea said: “I’m excited to be starting this new role and to help families find the right care and environment for their loved ones.
“Picking a care home is an incredibly important decision.
“I’m keen to ensure future residents feel informed, safe and comfortable when they walk through our doors.
“I can’t wait to start welcoming the first residents and making their experience as seamless as possible, from their initial contact to helping them settle into their new home.”
Dave Ankers, regional director for Care UK, added: “Long Stone Manor marks an important investment for us and we’re thrilled to have two seasoned senior team members on board.
“Every detail of the home has been considered to provide the very highest standards of care, but having the right team is key to the overall experience for the residents.
“Emma and Andrea have considerable experience, passion and empathy.
“I’m confident they’re the perfect fit for the Wilmslow community.
“I’m looking forward to working with Emma and Andrea to appoint the rest of the team ahead of the home opening next spring.”
