TOMORROW is National Roast Dinner Day – Monday not Sunday!
Would you have a roast dinner on any day of the week or does it always have to be Sunday?
The special day celebrating one of our most traditional dishes is aimed at bringing communities together and encouraging pupils and students to take a break at school and share a good meal.
Will you be celebrating National Roast Dinner Day today? Or maybe tomorrow, Monday?
Why not celebrate a day early with a hearty Sunday roast?
Earlier this year, roast dinners were on the menu as we searched for St Helens’ best in dozens of categories.
We wanted to know who served the area’s best British classic and, following your nominations and suggestions, we shortlisted Mid Cheshire’s top ten.
Yorkshire puddings filled with gravy, crispy roast potatoes and tender slices of meat that melt in the mouth – roast dinners have been a staple meal on Sundays for hundreds of years.
Whether it’s for lunch or evening meal, the traditional roast is a firm favourite but where can hungry people get the best that Mid Cheshire has to offer?
The Bowling Green on London Road in Northwich was the runaway winner, topping the table for roast dinners, but here are Mid Cheshire’s top 12 Sunday bests, as chosen by you, our readers.
