A MAN has been banned from driving ‘due to repeat offending’.
Nurez Kamani, of Chelford Road, Ollerton, Knutsford, was charged with failing to give police information to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence.
The 63-year-old was not present at Chester Magistrates’ Court when the case was heard on October 24.
A police officer had requested information relating to the identify of the driver of a Mercedes on February 22, this year.
The driver is alleged to have been guilty of an offence, the court heard.
Magistrates found the case proved after listening to the evidence at an earlier hearing on September 10. The case was adjourned to consider a disqualification.
Kamani was banned from the roads for six months and his driving licence was endorsed with six points.
The disqualification was obligatory ‘due to repeat offending’, the court was told.
The defendant was fined £660 and ordered to pay £600 costs and £264 victim surcharge.
Kamani was given until November 30 to pay the £1,524 court penalty.
