A Christmas wonderland is set to open next month at the Trafford Centre.
The creators of The Twilight Trail have announced details of The Christmas Trail, which will run every day from November 8, 2024, until January 2, 2025.
The 4.5-acre festive wonderland will be located at Wilderspool Woods at the Trafford Centre, which is also home to the upcoming Halloween Trail.
The woods will be transformed into a 'magical' wonderland, illuminated by a 'dazzling' display of lights and 'captivating' installations.
Visitors will be able to marvel at The Moon, a giant glowing sculpture suspended between the trees, and Shooting Stars, a twinkling, four-metre star shining high in the treetops.
There will be festive photo opportunities with the giant, illuminated presents and the enchanting Giant Orbs - glowing spheres that pulse and fade with colour, hidden amidst the forest’s lush greenery.
A festive soundtrack will fill the air with holiday classics and upbeat tunes, and there will be falling snowflakes scattered throughout the illuminated trail.
To complement the festive atmosphere, Freight Island will open a festive pop-up at Wilderspool Woods, available for guests at The Christmas Trail and everyone visiting Trafford Centre this festive season.
This will include Formaggi by Lazy Tony’s, Voodoo Rays, Cabin Chocolat, Winter Warmers, and Soft Boi.
Dan Morris, co-founder of Trafford Trails, said: "We’re thrilled to transform Wilderspool Woods into a Christmas wonderland this year.
"It promises to be a magical experience filled with incredible light displays, interactive moments, and delicious food."
Special guest trader Heard, the new burger venture from two Michelin-starred chef Jordan Bailey, will be serving seasonal smash burgers using eco-friendly ingredients.
Simon Layton, centre director at Trafford Centre, said: "We’re delighted to bring a new festive experience to Trafford this Christmas.
"Collaborating once again with Freight Island and other fantastic partners, we’ve created an unforgettable celebration of light, joy, and seasonal magic.
"We can’t wait to see Wilderspool Woods sparkle this Christmas."
The Christmas Trail will run every day from 4pm, from Friday, November 8, 2024, until Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Tickets are on sale now, with prices starting from £8 for children, £10 for adults, and family tickets from £32.
Free parking is available for all ticket holders, with convenient transport links also available via tram and bus.
The Christmas Trail charity partner is the Greater Manchester Mayor Charity, helping support organisations across the community working to end homelessness in Greater Manchester.
There is going to be a tap-to-donate point at the marshmallow stand, where you can grab a marshmallow to toast for free or tap to donate £3 to the charity.
