A SPECIAL collection is being mounted to prevent dangerous weapons getting into the wrong hands.
Knutsford Police are urging people to hand in any old knives and blades at a surrender bin at Fryer's Garden Centre.
The beat team will be on hand at the centre on the Blue Diamond centre on Manchester Road between 1pm and 2pm on Saturday, October 26.

Any unwanted sharp instruments such as kitchen knives, tools, scissors, display knives and swords can be handed in.
Posting on social media, Knutsford Police said: “The amnesty bin will be present for anyone to bring in any knives they no longer need, so they can be disposed of safely and with no questions asked.”
Officers will be running a police surgery on Saturday.
The knife collection is being held to reduce the amount of potential weapons being disposed of in domestic waste bins where they could be retrieved and used in crime.

Cheshire continues to have one of the lowest rates of knife-related crimes.
A similar initiative at High Legh Garden Centre in March saw 29 knives handed in.
Another knife amnesty was held recently at the Welcome Café.
