CHILDREN have been praised for ‘making a real difference’ to families in need.
Kind-hearted pupils at Manor Park Primary School and Nursery in Knutsford have generously donated a mountain of goods to support the local foodbank at Hope Central.
The school recently held a non-uniform day, where children and families brought in a wide range of essential items to contribute to this vital local resource.

The response was overwhelming, with students filling bags with tinned food, pasta, rice, and other staples as well as the odd chocolate treat.
The donations will help Hope Central continue to provide much-needed support to families in the local community.
Sarah Jeffery, acting headteacher praised the children’s efforts.
She said: “We are incredibly proud of our students for their kindness and willingness to help others and events like this really reflect our school values.
“The contributions will make a real difference to local families in need.”
Every Tuesday morning, the school is also the base for ‘The Bread and Butter Thing’, a mobile food club which gives access to nutritious and affordable food.
This low cost weekly shop provides essential produce for families, such as fresh fruit and veg, fridge favourites and cupboard staples.
