A WOMAN has been hit with a £1,000 court penalty for failing to give police information to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence.
Victoria Fildes, 47, of Carrwood, Knutsford, was found guilty of the offence at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on October 10.
A police officer had requested information relating to the identity of the driver of a Land Rover on July 17, this year.
The driver was alleged to have been guilty of an offence, the court heard.
The defendant did not attend the hearing.
Magistrates found the case proved in her absence after listening to the evidence.
Carrwood was fined £660 and ordered to pay £264 victim surcharge and £90 costs.
Her driving licence was endorsed with six points.
The defendant was given until November 7 to pay the £1,014 court penalty.
