DEDICATED businesses have been honoured for their commitment to the community.
Knutsford Town Council is continuing to hand out High Street awards to traders who have served residents for many years.
The retail recognition scheme celebrates businesses which have traded in the town for a minimum of five years to 75 years plus and a ‘lifetime achievement’ award.

Independent traders have been commended for making Knutsford so unique.
The mayor of Knutsford launched the scheme and continues to present the certificates and window stickers.
Cllr Colin Banks said: “This will be a rolling programme that hopefully continues for an extremely long time.
“Our high street has changed but it still offers locals and visitors a vibrant mix of shops and services.
“I am looking forward to meeting more shop owners over the coming weeks.”
Julia Chard, owner of Knutsford Olde Sweet Shoppe, said: “We hit the 15th year milestone trading in fabulous Knutsford.
“I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the amazing customers who continue to support my little business and keep us on the high street.
“Also thank you, as always, to my sweetie team, both current and former, always serving customers with a smile.
“They really are the very best.
“Looking forward to the next 15 years!”
Town centre manager Sandra Curties organises many events to celebrate the town’s unique independent businesses.
She said: “Knutsford is home to independent, regional and national names who each contribute to the vitality of our town centre.”
