TWO drivers have been taken to hospital after two cars overturned in a multiple-vehicle crash.
The collision happened on the southbound carriageway from junction 18 for Middlewich and Holmes Chapel.
National Highways say that all lanes have now re-opened after drivers experienced miles of congestion.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust said: "Two drivers were taken to hospital with minor injuries."
Three lanes of the motorway were closed earlier this morning as emergency services dealt with the incident.
