AURORA borealis made a dazzling return to the skies above Cheshire.
The Northern Lights lit up the night sky with bright pink hues on Thursday.
Many residents across Cheshire were lucky enough to witness the phenomenon first-hand.

Will the Northern Lights be visible again tonight?
Aurora displays occur when charged particles collide with gases in the Earth’s atmosphere around the magnetic poles.
As they collide, light is emitted at various wavelengths, creating colourful displays in the sky.
The Met Office say this latest display was caused by ongoing ‘severe geomagnetic storms’ resulting from a ‘fast coronal mass ejection’ from the Sun.
This arrived at Earth on Thursday (October 10).
The UK's national weather service say that the chances of aurora will gradually ease throughout Friday (October 11) and become ‘increasingly confined to geomagnetic latitudes by October 13’.
