A FREE firework ‘extravaganza’ is being launched at a Knutsford pub.

The Three Greyhounds on Holmes Chapel Road is hosting a Guy Fawkes night party on Sunday, November 3.

The pub invites families and friends to come along from 6pm for ‘an unforgettable night under the stars’.

Sparklers, marshmallow toasting, mulled wine and boozy hot chocolate promise to make it a night to remember.

An outside bar will sell seasonal favourites and a barbecue will offer a selection of hot food.

Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

Tim Bird and Mary McLaughlin, owners of Cheshire Cat Pub and Bars, saved the dilapidated pub with extensive refurbishment, reopening it in 2012.

The Grade II listed inn dating back to the early 1700s, has been restored and transformed into a rustic country inn with six boutique bedrooms and village bistro with tiered gardens and terraces.

The couple operate seven pubs that have won an array of top awards.

All of the hostelries were either closed or on the verge of shutting when the couple came along and rescued them.

Cheshire Cat operate The Bulls Head, Church Inn and Roebuck Inn in Mobberley, Cholmondeley Arms in Malpas, Mainwaring Arms in Whitmore and the Fitzherbert Farmhouse in Swynnerton.
