A MAN has admitted breaking into an award-winning Knutsford fish and chip shop.
Benjamin Gibney, of Dock Road, Northwich, pleaded guilty to burglary and theft at Hooked on the Heath on Northwich Road on September 13, this year.
The 36-year-old admitted breaking into the shop and stealing cash to the value of £300 when he appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on October 3.
The break-in through a window happened in the early hours of the morning.
Gibney was remanded on conditional bail until October 31 when he will be sentenced.
