A MAN has been banned from driving ‘due to repeat offending’.
Lyle Foster, of Horseshoe Lane, Alderley Edge, was charged with failing to give police information to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence.
The 24-year-old was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on September 27.
The ban was ‘due to repeat offending’, the court heard.
A police officer had requested information relating to the identity of the driver of a Mercedes in Greater Manchester on November 10, last year.
Magistrates found the case proved after listening to the evidence at an earlier hearing on May 17, this year.
The case was adjourned until September for sentencing.
The defendant did not attend court for either hearing.
Foster was fined £660 and ordered to pay £264 victim surcharge and £90 costs.
His driving licence was endorsed with six points.
The defendant was given until November 8 to pay the £1,014 court penalty.
