The Mayor and the LOL Cheshire team, headed by Paul Langley, expressed their thanks to everyone who made the evening possible.

Special recognition was paid to the volunteers from Knutsford Little Theatre for their hard work behind the scenes to ensure the event ran smoothly.

A big thank was also given to Cllrs April Johnson and Rex Mears, Dee and David Griffiths, and big Lou Comedy, not to mention all the guests who generously bought raffle tickets.

Cllr Banks said: “It was an incredible night of comedy.

“Raising over £1,200 is a fantastic achievement.

“A highlight of the evening was a mass singalong to help promote my next event ‘Curry-oke’ on October 18 at Shaw Health Social Club.”

On the night visitors can expect to belt out their favourite tunes with friends, indulge in a curry, and maybe catch a performance from the mayor and mayoress.

Whether you’re a shower singer, a pop diva, or just fancy a good laugh, Curry-oke is a chance to let loose, have fun, and support incredible causes.

A raffle will offer a selection of prizes generously donated by local businesses.
