Pictures had to be taken through a train window – either from a platform or a train on the Mid Cheshire railway line.
The pictures were judged by experience amateur photographer John Horsley, president of Knutsford Photographic Society.
John said: “Each year the number and quality of entries has improved.
“This year some of the entries have been outstanding making choosing a winner a difficult decision.
“Congratulations to all the winners and the other competitors for making this such a great competition.”
Judging was in three age categories.
Leighton O’Rourke came first in the five to 12 year category and won four Go Ape tickets at Delamere Forest.
Amelia Hampshire was the winner of the 12-18 age category and received family ticket for Northern Rail and four vouchers for Planet Ice in Altrincham.
Lena Bankevych was chosen as the best in the over 18 category and won two free adult tickets for the West Coast Main Line.
Sarah Muir, community rail officer for Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership, said: “This was the third time we have run this competition.
“The quality of the entries was fantastic with the photos capturing the different landscapes and buildings you can see along the mid Cheshire railway line.
“A massive thanks, once again, to John Horsley who gave up his spare time to judge the winners.
“We appreciate it and could not do it without him.
“The prizes were fantastic.
“We extend our thanks especially to West Coast Main Line, Northern Rail and John Horsley.
“Watch out for next year’s competition.”
