Founded in 1999 with the acquisition of its first care home in Lowestoft, Kingsley has grown into a top 20 ranked large care home group on carehome.co.uk, the leading UK care home review website.
The celebration was hosted by BBC sports presenter Gabby Logan and ITV Anglia news anchor David Whiteley.
Elizabeth had already beaten off strong competition from across the North West and Midlands when she was named the Regional Registered Nurse of the Year at Kingsley Healthcare’s Regional Care Awards in July this year.
At the national event, she went up against regional winners from across the country, to be crowned nationally as Registered Nurse of the Year.
This award recognises Elizabeth’s hard work, dedication and commitment to caring for the residents.
Her excellent communications skills and ability to lead by example, inspiring and encouraging other members of the team also impressed judges.
Daya Thayan, Kingsley co-founder and chief executive officer, Daya Thayan, said: "When Sumi and I started Kingsley, we could never have imagined it would become the caring and thriving organisation it is today.
“We all share the same goal – to provide the best care for our residents and support our staff."
Pauline Parker-Moore, North West regional operations director, said: “We are all delighted and extremely proud that Elizabeth’s hard work, dedication and commitment has been recognised and she is certainly a deserving and worthy winner.
“With over 40 homes in the portfolio this is a fantastic achievement. “Congratulations Elizabeth on your achievement.”
The event featured entertainment from former Britain’s Got Talent winner Lance Corporal Richard Jones, comedy act Noise Next Door, and music from the Eclectic group.
