AN award-winning restaurant is hosting a special evening with Parklife and Warehouse Project co-founder Sacha Lord.
The Clink Restaurant at HMP Styal will serve a three-course dinner and mocktail, prepared by students in training on Thursday, October 10 The restaurant was recently named ‘Cheshire Life Restaurant of the Year’ at Cheshire Life Magazine’s award ceremony.
Recounting the heady days of 'Madchester' and 24-hour party people, Sacha will recall anecdotes from his Sunday Times bestselling book ‘Tales from the Dancefloor’.

The entrepreneur will talk about his fascinating career, starting at the legendary Hacienda, before going on to buy Sankey's Soap in 2000 and co-founding one of the world's most famous club nights.
Sacha will also be sharing his predictions and views on the future of nightlife in his role as Greater Manchester’s first-ever Night Time Economy Adviser.
In this role, he works closely with mayor Andy Burnham to improve the city-region's nightlife and provide a voice for workers, venues and the industry at large.
Sacha said: “I’ve always counted myself lucky to grow up in the ‘Madchester’ era…Factory Records, New Order, The Hacienda.
“It was a time when the world had its eyes on Greater Manchester, and what a time it was.
“I see Greater Manchester now as going through a similar period of change and growth, there’s a lot going on and a lot still to do.
“I’ll be sharing stories from my youth, along with my thoughts on the future of our night life.
“All proceeds from the event will go directly to The Clink Charity which rehabilitates people in prison. I’m very much looking forward to the event and seeing you there.”
The Clink trains women in HMP Styal for careers in hospitality.
Housed in a former chapel, just outside the prison gates, the Clink employs women on day release from Styal prison, enabling them to both acquire qualifications and earn minimum wage.
Part of their earnings are paid into the Victim Support Fund with the remainder being banked for their release.
The restaurant has trained more than 100 women for careers in hospitality, offering industry qualifications in both professional cookery and front of house service.
