THE search is on to find more models willing to sit in front of a camera.

Knutsford Photographic Society is keen to give members the chance to develop their portraiture skills and learn how to work in a professionally lit studio.

No previous experience is necessary and volunteers will receive copies of all the best images free of charge.

“They are a fantastic bunch of people and make you feel comfortable.

“It was enjoyable, really good fun.

"There's no need to feel nervous, it's a really uplifting experience."

Society president John Horsley, who organises the photo shoots, said: “The society has several experienced portrait photographers producing award-winning images.

“We want to give all our members experience of working with studio light set ups.

“We show them how to set up their camera so that none of the ambient light in the room produces an image.

“We are interested in taking portraits of individuals of any age or gender.

“People don’t have to have any experience of modelling. We will give them help in terms of posing.”

The photographers are also hoping to develop their fashion photography skills and are keen to hear from any small businesses who would like images of their products being modelled.
