A DRIVER clocked speeding on a motorway in South Wales has appeared in court.

Rebecca Postles, of Macclesfield Road, Alderley Edge, pleaded guilty at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on August 27 to exceeding the speed limit.

The 46-year-old was caught on an automatic camera driving an Audi in Neath Port Talbot on the M4 eastbound at junction 42 Earlswood to Seaway Bridge on February 22, this year, exceeding 50mph.

The defendant was clocked speeding at 59mph, the court heard.

Postles was fined £40 and ordered to pay £90 costs and £16 victim surcharge.

Her driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Magistrates took her guilty plea into consideration when imposing the sentence.

Postles was given until September 24 to pay the £146 court penalty.
