A PHENOMENAL selection of activities are being offered to the local community by an inspirational group.
Self-help organisation u3a is for anyone no longer in full time employment and provides educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment.
Knutsford & District u3a has more than 700 members who take part in almost 60 different activities.

Third Agers often have a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience which can be shared with others.
Each study and activity group is led by a person who may be a specialist in a particular field or simply act as a convenor with everyone learning together.
An extensive programme of outings, theatre visits and concert trips is also available.
A showcase event to encourage new recruits is being held on Thursday, September 13, at Knutsford Methodist Church from 2.15pm to 3.45pm.
Refreshments will be available.
Sue Allan, chairman of Knutsford & District u3a committee, said: “Our u3a believe that we have something for anyone who is no longer in full time work, irrespective of age. “Our doors are open for showcase day.
“We look forward to meeting old and new friends alike. “Meet kindred spirits, discover new activities.”
People who run some of the activity groups will be on hand to answer questions and anyone is welcome to pop in. Architecture, photography, play reading, family and social history and drawing and painting are available for art enthusiasts.
Fitness groups include walking, cycling, Tai Chi and yoga.
Foodies can sign up for wine tasting, seasonal cookery and a lunch club.
A wide range of discussion groups are available for book, film and theatre lovers.
Crossword fans, crown green bowlers, scrabble and table tennis enthusiasts are catered for in the many sports and games groups.
Pickleball has just been introduced and there is a constant search for new groups to be started.
Many members have had exciting and challenging lives and will have enjoyed educational experiences and adventures through their occupation, hobbies, travel, sports, and holidays that might well interest other people.
This group offers members the opportunity for to entertain, amuse and educate their u3a friends by re-living some of their interests and activities.

Anyone not in full-time employment can join for £12 annual subscription.
Members don’t have to live in Knutsford as some people currently travel from Macclesfield, Bowdon and Northwich.
