WILMSLOW High School is celebrating the achievements of their GSCE students.

The grades were strong and well above national average at all levels.

Altogether, 212 grade 9s were achieved, 298 8s and 890 7 or above.

The percentage of students awarded the highest grades 9-8 was 18 per cent, while those achieving grade 7 and above was 31 per cent, compared with the national figure of 21.8 per cent.

Additionally, 77 per cent passed GCSE maths, compared to 60 per cent nationally and 79 per cent passes GCSE English, compared to 62 per cent across the country.
