SPEEDING could have ‘catastrophic’ consequences, warn police.

This stern message follows a road safety check which clocked 40 vehicles speeding.

Officers carried out speed enforcement operations on Tabley Road in Knutsford and Knutsford Road in Chelford.

A spokesman for Knutsford Police said: “These locations have 30mph speed limits.

“A total of 30 vehicles were caught speeding by the Trucam with the fastest going at 63mph.

“Do not drive over the speed limit as the consequences can be catastrophic to all road users including property such as street furniture.”

This is the latest in a series of road safety checks being carried out by Cheshire Police.
