A MANCHESTER United footballer is looking to create a home golf simulator.
Mason Mount has submitted a planning application to Cheshire East Council for a property he owns in Mere.
The Red Devils midfielder is hoping to convert a garage into a home golf simulator room, as well as erecting an extension to be used as a garage, home gym and changing rooms.
Mere Parish Council has raised no objections to the plans.
Clerk, Kathryn Whitlow, said: “Mere Parish Council has no objection to the above planning application.
“The council does, however, request that building and construction work be limited to reasonable hours of the day and exclude Sundays and Bank Holidays
“All work vehicles and visitor vehicles should be parked within the development at all times so as to avoid congestion.”
Mount’s property in Mere has only recently been built, having been approved by the council in July 2022.
The application, submitted by First Space Knutsford, was for a two-storey property with six bedrooms, five bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen and dining area, and reception rooms.
It adds: “The design compliments the character and style of the local context and will enhance it by providing a quality well considered contemporary new building.”
The application for the golf simulator room was registered on the Cheshire East Council website on August 6.
Members of the public have until September 4 to submit any comments about the plans.
