POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a fatal crash.
The driver of a Peugeot was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash in Adlington this morning (August 7).
A 35-year-old woman has since been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving.
Officers investigating the crash are now looking to speak with anyone who witnessed what happened or who has any dashcam footage of the incident or the moments leading up to it.
Sergeant Russell Sime said: “Enquiries are currently ongoing, and we are now looking to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened.
“The same goes for anyone who may have any dashcam footage which could help our investigation.

Cheshire Police were alerted to a crash on the A523 Poynton Relief Road at around 7.45am on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, officers found a silver Peugeot 208 and a blue Mercedes A Class had been involved.
The driver of the Peugeot was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Mercedes, a 35-year-old woman, has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving.
She remains in police custody at this time.
