A MERCEDES driver has been clocked speeding in a residential area.
Michael Vora, of Parkway, Wilmslow, pleaded guilty to speeding at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 24.
The 29-year-old was caught on a speed camera driving a Mercedes on New Hey Road in Huddersfield at 41mph at 11.22am on September 19, last year.
The speed limit of 30mph was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals, the court heard.
Vora was fined £100 and ordered to pay £40 victim surcharge.
No order was made for costs.
His driving licence was endorsed with three points.
Magistrates took his guilty plea into consideration when imposing the sentence.
Vora was given until August 21 to pay the £140 court penalty.
