A JUICY burger topped with lettuce, tomato and cheese served with fries, ketchup and mayonnaise – sounds like the perfect fast food.
But what makes a regular burger into something special?
Is it the burger itself or the choice of bun and toppings and sides?
You can put almost anything on top of a burger – fried egg, pulled pork, onion rings - which all add to the overall experience.
Where in Mid Cheshire serves the best burgers – restaurants, cafes or takeaway establishments?
Next Thursday is National Burger Day – a whole day dedicated to the tasty fast food – and to mark the occasion we want to know where you go for the best burger in area.
In our Best of 2024 campaign, we’ve given out 16 awards so far in Mid Cheshire for hair, nails and beauty, tattoos and independent shops, as well as pizza, dessert and cocktails and many more.
Voting is currently taking place to find Mid Cheshire’s Best Afternoon Tea, with the vote closing at midnight on Sunday, August 18.

Where is your favourite place to enjoy a burger?
HOW IT WORKS:
Each Friday morning we will reveal new categories via our social media pages and ask you who is the best. Nominations will then close each Monday morning at 12pm.
Every Thursday we will publish a shortlist of finalists with voting officially opening.
You will be able to vote in one of three ways:
- By commenting under the relevant post on our Northwich and Winsford Guardian and Knutsford Guardian Facebook or X (Twitter) pages = 1 vote
- By entering via the online article on our Northwich and Winsford Guardian and Knutsford Guardian website = 2 votes
- By entering via our Northwich and Winsford Guardian and Knutsford Guardian newspaper = 5 votes
The following Wednesday evening we will announce the winner of that category on social media.
Usual Newsquest competition rules apply.

Alternatively, you can email your nomination, telling us the name of the place serving afternoon, where they’re based and why they deserve to be shortlisted, to heidi.summerfield@newsquest.co.uk
Don’t forget to keep an eye on our website and our social media each Friday morning, when we will launch a new Best of 2024 search and then every Thursday to vote for your favourite from our shortlist.
