A KNUTSFORD architectural practice is celebrating after winning a prestigious award.
Whitebox Architecture won the George Tsiantar Award for Best Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) practice at this year’s Grafter’s Awards in Manchester.
The ceremony, which celebrates the best of North West construction and property, brought together hundreds of industry experts in a star-studded event.

TV and radio presenter Jenny Powell hosted the black tie dinner attended by 400 guests and 80 companies at the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel.
Whitebox Architecture was also nominated for Best Residential Architects.
The company specialises in the creation of luxury residential and imaginative commercial projects throughout the North West, including Knutsford, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Mobberley, Prestbury, Heswall, Caldy and across the UK.
The firm prides itself on working closely with the most discerning clients to make sure that every project is completed to ‘the very highest standards of design, workmanship and attention to detail’.
Sadly, Phill Armstrong, who founded the company, died suddenly of a brain haemorrhage in November last year.
The 52-year-old was the beloved husband of Katy and much-loved father to Luke and Mattthew.
Ivor Smits, director of Whitebox Architecture, said: “Phill started the practice in 2005 and we’ve been friends since 2008.
“He will be deeply missed by clients, colleagues, friends and the wider community.
“Whitebox Architecture is committed to continuing his legacy.”
