A FEAST of fun and games for all the family returns to Knutsford this weekend.
FamilyFest was such a success when it was launched last year that it will be making a comeback on Sunday, August 11.
The town’s shops, restaurants and community spaces have once again teamed up with Knutsford Town Council to offer a day jam packed with activities.
Pizza making, hair braiding, music sessions and face painting are just some of the many special attractions.
This year’s event also coincides with alfresco dining on Minshull Street and outside the Lost and Found with April’s Kitchen, Linden Stores, The Angel and Café on the Corner.
The emergency services are also taking part.
Knutsford firefighters look forward to meeting children as they will have a fire engine parked outside the Lost and Found.
A police van will be in Minshull Street, pending any emergencies.
Families can start gently with a yoga session with Satya Sanctuary, while little ones can learn how to make pizzas at Gusto.
A guest appearance from Disney’s Stitch will entertain guests at a family lunch at event sponsor Evuna on King Street.
A party at Charlton Lodge will be hosted by BunnyBusiness.
Knutsford Olde Sweet shoppe will be holding a fancy dress competition, with prizes for each entrant.
The winner will receive a special prize from Hal Whittaker.
Art sessions will be hosted by Kim Smart Art at the town’s historic Ruskin Rooms.
Story time sessions will be held at Waterstones and children’s mindfulness activities at Stable Minds.
Irene Sanchez, of Evuna, said “We love being part of the community in the town and are delighted to sponsor Knutsford’s second FamilyFest.
“We can’t wait to host ‘las familias’ as well as Stitch. It is going to be a fab day!"
The Christie Bears Knutsford will be inviting children to go on a bear hunt.
The competition is free to enter and a selection of prizes are being offered.
The aim is to reunite The Christie mummy bear with her 10 little cubs who have gone missing from Knutsford Heritage Centre.
The cubs are hiding in various shops throughout the town centre.
Prizes include a Lego Hogwarts Train, a family fun hamper, a Pizza Express family voucher and a Tatton Park family ticket.
To join the bear hunt, pick up a free entry form from Knutsford Heritage Centre, The Olde Sweet Shoppe or The White Orchid Floral Boutique.
Follow the paw prints on the map to find the 10 bear cubs and match them to photos of the shops they're hiding in.
Natalie Abrams, of Popcat’s Music Time, said: "I am really excited for my first FamilyFest.
“I have been running my music and movement classes in Knutsford since January and can’t wait to see some new faces at my free taster sessions at Charlton Lodge."
Sandra Curties, town centre manager said “We are delighted to see the return of FamilyFest.
“Last year’s event proved extremely popular with families.
“We’ve pulled together a great programme with lots of variety so hopefully there is something for everyone.
“Book any activities where required and just enjoy the atmosphere.”
Activities and businesses taking part include Mini & Moi Pop-up shop at the Lost and Found, Knutsford Olde Sweet Shop, Evuna, Gusto, Hal Whittaker, Waterstones Knutsford, Lost & Found, BunnyBusiness at Charlton Lodge and Evuna, Stable Minds, PopCat at Charlton Lodge, Kim Smart Art, Hair by Katy at the Lost and Found and Satya Sanctuary at the Curzon.
