PASSIONATE bakers have been creating a feast of delicious cakes, biscuits, desserts and pastries to support charities for 10 years.
Knutsford Bake Club is celebrating a decade of hosting Macmillan coffee mornings.
In that time, members who share a love of baking have raised a phenomenal £11,146!

This year's event takes place on Friday, September 6, from 10am to 12 noon at The Lost and Found.
The charity has commended the team for ‘making a huge difference’ to people living with cancer and their families.
Sarah Peet, relationship fundraising manager Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “What a fantastic achievement and congratulations to all the bakers at Knutsford Bake Club on your 10-year anniversary.
“It’s because of our amazing supporters like you that we are able to continue to be there for people living with cancer and their families when they need us most locally across Cheshire.
“Your amazing fundraising over the years of £11,146 could help to fund a Macmillan Cancer support nurse for two months, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support or fund 55 Macmillan Financial Grants to help with the extra costs that living with cancer can bring.
“Thank you so much for making a huge difference.”
The group has also supported a variety of local charities including May Day parade fundraising events at the Methodist Church and Peover Hall.
The club provides expert judges for cake competitions across Knutsford in support of their charities at Crosstown Bowling Club, the Tea Room and the Tennis Club.
Their first charity events were in support of the Scouts and Prostate Cancer at the early Knutsford Beer Festival.
Bake Club member Dee Griffiths said: “When someone needs homemade cakes to raise money for local causes, they contact us. “We are a small group of home bakers who meet regularly and talk and taste any baking recipe.
“The meetings have a theme which changes each time and we are all passionate about sharing the joy of baking.”
She remembers the first Macmillan Coffee Morning and was amazed by the local support for the charity.
Proud club founder Lucy Farnon said: “Knutsford is my home and I am so happy and lucky to live here.
“The people are what keeps it going.
“Supporting Macmillan means so much to so many who have seen the effects of cancer on family members.”
Cllr April Johnson said: “I can’t quite believe it’s our 10-year anniversary of raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Research.
“We owe our success not just to the members of Knutsford Bake Club, who work so happily to make the most amazing cakes for this event, but also to the people of Knutsford who show us incredible support.
“And our very generous hosts at Lost and Found Knutsford.”
Local businesses are keen supporters and collect cake deliveries to share with colleagues in shops and offices around town.
Donations of cakes are most welcome at the Lost and Found by 9.30am on Friday, September 6.
