A MAN has been hit with a £1,000 court penalty for failing to give police information to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence.

Felix Doran, of Spinks Lane, Pickmere, was found guilty of the offence at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on July 11.

A police officer had requested information relating to the identity of the driver of a Volkswagen vehicle on May 3, this year.

The driver was alleged to have been guilty of an offence, the court heard.

The 44-year-old was fined £660 and ordered to pay £264 victim surcharge and £90 costs.

Her driving licence was also endorsed with six points.

Doran was given until August 8 to pay the £1,014 court bill.
